I’m Julianna, a Michigan-based designer, mother, and lifelong creative who believes deeply in the power of storytelling through handmade work. For the past 25 years, I’ve practiced oral surgery while quietly nurturing my love for quilting, photography, and design alongside raising my family.

This year, I’m finishing my Master of Fine Arts—a milestone that represents a long-held commitment to fully honoring my creative voice. I am the creator of The Quilt Keepsake Book, inspired by my belief that the heart, intention, and memories behind handmade pieces deserve to be preserved.  I appreciate you for taking the time to visit Shaylily.

Through Shaylily, I design vibrant fabrics, 3D block-printing stamps, and home goods made especially for quilters and creative souls.

My signature product, The Quilt Keepsake Book, was inspired by a story I heard often: after months of stitching a quilt filled with love and meaning, many quilters felt the gift moment fell flat. The recipient didn't always grasp the heart, time, and emotion behind the quilt. I wanted to change that. The Keepsake Book brings closure, connection, and a "grand finale" to the quilt-giving experience-capturing the story, meaning, and memories behind each handmade gift.
